You don't have to become a "tech business." Start by helping one organization with one small problem. If you love it and want to do more, great. If you'd rather volunteer than charge money, that's perfect too. If you can only help occasionally, that's valuable.
Hub works however you want to serve. Some people help full-time. Some help once a month. Some charge fair rates. Some volunteer completely. All of it strengthens our communities.
The point isn't to be the most skilled or the most available. The point is to be there when your neighbor needs help—because you know that's what community means.
